In fact, a 2017 Cashlorette survey found that nearly half of Americans in serious relationships (either married or living with a partner) argue over money. And experts say that’s no surprise, given that money can symbolize such different things and trigger different emotions in different people, largely depending on childhood experiences that shaped how they view it.
